India

In India, CIV works in collaboration with Jesus Youth, an international Catholic youth movement now active in nearly 27 countries around the world. Jesus Youth, from its very beginning, has encouraged young people to focus on charity.

For Children

Jesus Youth’s child support project was founded to support the education of financially disadvantaged students. Through this initiative, they are able to make students’ dreams for free education a reality. Today, almost 37,800 children are part of this project, from all over India.

Prison Ministry

Various Jesus Youth teams are active in prison ministry, predominantly in the Middle East. The members of the prison ministry arrange regular prayer services, arrange for legal support for the prisoners, and help inmates return to their countries once they are released from prison.

Personal Initiatives

Several other small charity initiatives include: supporting underprivileged students in their studies, distributing medical care for the poor, and providing homes.
